This website has been setup by sufferers of back pain for fellow sufferers, we are a nation of back sufferers with four out of five people suffering from back pain at some stage in their life. At the time we think we are alone or we feel we are the only one that is suffering and don't often get much sympathy.

Backache is not an illness in itself but could be a symptom of something that's gone wrong somewhere, although it may not always be exactly clear what. Some causes of back pain could be:
Poor posture
Excessive stresses
Wear and tear problems
